Prism Delay
Eight delay lines. One instrument. Sonic nirvana.
The problem: Conventional delays don't give you the Holdsworth sound as found in the Yamaha UD-Stomp and Magicstomp.
A parallel example of the eight-line engine: stereo input is averaged to mono, while mono input is used directly. Each line contributes a panned wet signal to the stereo sum, which combines with the direct signal at the output. Connect and Group can change the line topology; the diagram is not a fixed routing preset. Tap sets the wet read position relative to loop delay, not an arbitrary number of taps per line.

What it is
Prism Delay is an eight-line modulated multi-tap stereo delay for wide, expressive guitar and synth textures — shimmering rhythmic repeats, chorus-like ambience and expansive atmospheric washes.
The inspiration came from one of the more unusual effects units ever made: the Yamaha UD-Stomp, developed in collaboration with Allan Holdsworth. Prism Delay is not a component-level clone; it takes that multi-delay philosophy and rebuilds it for a modern plug-in workflow.
Each line has its own Time, Level, Pan, Feedback, Modulation Depth and Rate, while Connect, Group and Sync let the eight lines interact in ways a conventional multi-tap delay genearally cannot.
